The creation of INSPIRATION was truly an inspiration. A very knowledgeable sailing couple (see May '99 Power and Motoryacht article, copies available on request) used their years of cruising and yacht ownership to create this very well thought out and equipped trawler yacht.

The current owner, also a very knowledgeable sailing couple, substantially refit Inspiration, with a $350,000 investment including engines, transmissions, engine panels, dinghy and outboard, stabilizers, electronics, GPS chart plotters, radar, marine air systems (3), hull paint, and galley appliances.  Attention to detail and functionality for long periods of time onboard was a driving force without leaving out comfort.

INSPIRATION has been professionally maintained since inception, including annual teak maintenance, fluid/filter changes, pump replacements, etc.  The current owner maintains extensive spare parts for all pumps, prop shafts, and other major components.  INSPIRATION (Hull #1) was a semi-custom designed and manufactured by Cherubini Yachts, Delran, NJ.

Entering from cockpit through custom double teak sliding doors, the main salon features two swivel chairs, hanging locker, and a cocktail table with storage inside to starboard. Forward of chairs is a bar, liquor cabinet, and icemaker with storage for glasses. Forward of bar is cabinet containing washer/dryer combination, and generous pantry. Fixed television and stereo service the salon.  Huper Optik UV ceramic film installed on all salon windows

The port side of the main salon has an L-shaped settee with storage behind and under the settee. A custom teak table opens to comfortably seat six. The table base contains a storage cabinet. Teak and holly cabin sole has hatches for engine room access. Other features are attached mini blinds, and high-quality fabrics that customize the salon furnishings.

Forward to port is the U-shaped galley. Features include Corian counter tops, standing full size refrigerator and freezer that runs on 12V DC or 110V AC. A Force 10 electric three burner stove with oven. Exhaust fan with filter vented above stove. Stainless sink is served by hot and cold pressure water. All sinks onboard are undermounted. All sink (and shower) drain via a port and starboard water drainage manifold system avoiding multiple thru hull penetrations.   Generous storage under all furnishings for living aboard.

To starboard forward are five steps (with storage underneath) up to the pilothouse and four steps down to the staterooms. The guest stateroom to port has twin berths and an additional single berth above. Multiple overhead storage cabinets along with hanging locker and fans complete the guest cabin.  The guest head is opposite to starboard, featuring a vanity sink, full stall shower with teak bench seat, vacuflush toilet and storage lockers outboard.

A privacy door opens to the forward master stateroom with queen size walk around bed on centerline, shelves and drawers outboard. A large cedar-lined hanging locker to starboard and ample storage lockers also contain a hidden safe. Stereo, reading lights, AC and fans and mirrors complete the comfortable accommodations.  Master head includes vanity sink, vacuflush toilet and storage lockers outboard.

The pilothouse features reverse slant front windows for no-glare visibility with Huper Optik UV ceramic film. Sliding side doors open to non-skid side decks, which access the foredeck and fly bridge area. The pilothouse settee pulls out to make a single berth and the folding table serves for dining and as a chart table underway. Side and aft windows are tinted with Huper Optik to reduce sun glare.

The fly bridge has a radar arch, bimini top and customized seating area with generous storage space. Aft is an electric davit and Highfield CL310 rigid inflatable tender and Mercury 9.9 HP outboard. The foredeck has a 6' bench seat with cushions and storage beneath.
